A ROLAND ITEN® Unique Buckle Calibre, “Test-driven” and certified by Sylvester Stallone, was auctioned in support of the NOVAK DJOKOVIC FOUNDATION and fetched £42K.  The inaugural tennis-themed Gala dinner was held at The Roundhouse venue in London to raise money for the tennis player's new charity - which aims to help disadvantaged children across the world but especially in Djokovic's native Serbia.

The "R8 Mark II Concept Piece" is a UNIQUE PIECE, having a more robust ardillon lever, which was later streamlined for the Mark II collection issued in a limited and numbered series in 2011. It was "test-driven" by Sylvester Stallone (who also owns an R8 MK I calibre) from 2010-2011, during which time he gave feedback to Roland regarding the new calibre's performance. The solid white gold and titanium mechanical buckle calibre set with 9 TW VVS+ conflict-free diamonds, is engraved with "R8 MK.II Concept Piece test driven by Sylvester Stallone from 10.05.2010 - 16.08.2011".  It retains Sly's  test-drive  'wear history'  and was issued with a certificate of authenticity signed by Roland Iten and Sylvester Stallone.

It is not coincidental that this UNIQUE PIECE was offered to the Novak Djokovic Foundation.  In 2010, Roland Iten created the Ion Tiriac Madrid Open Tennis Trophy and the first person to win it and raise it high was Novak, hence creating a lasting bond between these two individuals.

Among the guests at the Gala dinner were Richard Branson, Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson, Ron Wood and a long list of other A List celebrities.  A cruise with Goldie and Kate fetched £140K while Ron Wood's signed guitar fetched £30K.
